My best friend since I first stepped into Deyi Secondary School. And that was way back in 1999. So so long can! They used to say we look alike. Look alike meh? Her teeth is so much neater than mine, not to mention the beautifully chiselled face! The thing is, we both have single eyelid. Ahhh, maybe that's why. But I still dont think so we look alike leh. Deyi people all abit "sot" one.
I went Singapore Polytechnic to be guineapigvolunteer for her test. Guess what, her test is on drawing people's blood! So scary right?! But since I'm nice and very brave, I agreed.
I waited in this very clean looking room where the lecturer played "Spiderman 2" for us. So good of him.
Look at that blue Addidas guy! He's that yandao whom lent Kaisin his body. Oops! I meant arm.
There's even refreshments waiting for us in the pantry room! They served very nice mini sandwiches and hot Milo!
There're 3 stations.
The 1st station where she used her brother, KaiWen instead of me, required her to use this "Vacuum" thingy to suck the blood out.
The second station, which is also one of the more common ways to draw blood is whereby she uses a syringe. She almost failed this station. Her brother couldnt produce any blood and she couldnt find my veins(lol, no one can, not even nurses)either. Lucky for her, a quite yandao guy volunteered to help her out and she got it at the last try!
The last station is whereby she'll use this staple-like thing to poke into my middle finger(whahaha I love pointing this finger at stupid people!! And stupid people excludes Minah and WanZi ok) and then alllow the blood to flow drop by drop into a mini test-tube. She poked my left hand 1st and could not get the required amount of blood so she tried my right hand. She got it the required 500microLitres at the 2nd try. Three cheers for Kaisin!
Look at my poor plastered finger. So poorthing, had to suffer the pain of needles poking into it at such a young age.
My dear finger, you must grow into a strong and sturdy finger ok? So sorry to let you suffer today!
Kaisin's father drove us home after her test.
